Treatment Modalities
Depending on the patient's condition, the practitioner will decide which modality or modalities combined will be most effective in addressing the problem.
Acupuncture 針法
We use disposable one-time use acupuncture needles only. They are inserted into the skin to stimulate and unblock the flow of qi.
Herbs 藥材
Herbs can be made of flowers, roots, bark, leaves, minerals and even animal products. Some may have a strong taste or smell. We currently carry herbs in pill form rather than the loose raw form that need to be cooked. Herbs are usually prescribed to patients with internal conditions.
Cupping 杯格
Heated cups are placed over the skin creating a vacuum which increases the qi and blood flow to the affected area. It helps to relieve aches and pains in the shoulder and back areas. It is also excellent in relieving acute cold and flu symptoms if caught early.
Moxibustion 灸法
Ground and dried leaves of the plant Mugwort, Artemisia vulgaris are pressed into sticks or cones that are lit and applied above acupuncture points. This is great for increasing blood circulation and cold issues.
Food Cures
Proper nutrition is fundamental to good health which people often overlook. Depending on your ailment, the practitioner will let you know which foods are good for you and which ones you should avoid.
